Technology and learning for your pre school child.

ICT is now part of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum for all 3-5 year olds. Learning IT skills with us will give them an excellent head start for when they leave nursery school to go to Primary School. In addition, our sessions will help to increase their concentration skills and general all round confidence.

• Individual attention for every child based on groups of 3 children to 1 tutor for every 25 minute lesson.

Essential Mouse Skills

Technology has developed rapidly over the last few years with the arrival of touch screen phones and tablets such as the Apple iPAD. However, mouse and keyboard skills are still the main method of access to IT in schools and so learning this very important skill is still essential.

* Learning to control the movement of the mouse.

* How to navigate the cursor around the screen in order to click on objects and make things happen.

* Learning how to click, click and stick, click and drag and double click. 

* Each child works at their own pace, within similar ability groups.

* We use specially designed lower case keyboards so that young children can become familiar with the keys.

* Digital microscopes - bringing science to life.

* Trackpad training - to allow children to work on laptops as well as using a mouse.
